Client:ICLEI-SA
Description: GKS is assisting ICLEI-SA for developing solar cities master plans under MNRE programme on Solar Cities. The Master Plan will set a goal of minimum 10% reduction in projected total demand of conventional energy at the end of five years. The target would be met through the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures. The specific tasks include, assessment of present energy sources and end-uses, forecasting of demand for next 10 years, assessment of renewable energy sources, developing renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies along with the implementation plan and financial mechanism.

Client: West Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation Ltd (WBEDCL)
Description: Sunderbans is the largest delta in the world. It has 1064 villages with approximately 5 million population. A variety of renewable energy technologies have been used for electricity generation in Sunderbans. This World Bank assisted project aims at preparing a master plan for improving energy infrastructure in Sundarbans.
GKS is assisting WBGEDCL in finalizing data format for primary survey, analysis of primary survey data and preparation of project reports. |

Client: CAT International Projects, Australia
Description: The Bushlight India project is funded by the Australian Government under the Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Energy and Climate. The project is based on the Australian Bushlight model, which looks at the community energy needs from a livelihoods perspective and uses this understanding to design, install and manage robust renewable energy systems. In India, the project is working in collaboration with several partners (NGOs, private industry, Government) in establishing village level energy power plants in remote villages of West Bengal, Orissa and Chhatisgarh. GKS had an advisory role in the project. |
